About Allision

I was born into a family with pets and have spent my whole life living and working among animals. As a child, I participated in 4-H obedience and showmanship training with dogs and horses. For 2 years I had the state champion dog in showmanship and obedience. I’ve never had a dog that smart again!! (And I thought it was my skills as a trainer).

I grew up with a firm belief that animals are more than an extension of the family; they are a part of the family. Though my horseback riding years are behind me, I continue to passionately love being around dogs.

Several years ago, our son began to want his own dog and focused in on pugs. We had a beautiful, standard poodle at the time. Within a few months we added Bo from the Kentuckiana Pug Rescue. A couple of years later, we fell in love with an old fellow named Sammy at a pug rescue fund raiser and adopted him at age 12. He will be 17 in February and is still going strong!

Finally, I tried my hand at fostering. Never again! Within four months we had adopted our foster puppy Trevor; a puppy-mill rescue with some serious neurological health problems and our family was complete. Tristan (poodle) moved over the Rainbow Bridge after a 4 month battle with bone cancer. We regularly fight the temptation to add yet again to our canine family….

Every dog deserves to be loved on every day, especially when their family is away!

About Anni Pugel

I am an Indiana native having grown up in Noblesville. I graduated from International Business College's Vet Tech Institute in October 2010 and am currently working as an RVT in Carmel.

In my free time, I enjoy cross-stitching, reading and hanging out with my cats: Marigold, Murdock, Omar and Simon. I have also just recently started fostering for the Hamilton County Humane Society.
